A long time ago, when people still laughed without enquiring if they should, Vic Reeves split opinion with his Big Day Out. One of his facts was that ‘60% of statistics are made up.’ It was kind of brilliant at the time, but little did we see how prophetic it was; that vast swathes of political policy and international interference in our lives would be based upon powerful statistics repeated so frequently in the media that no one questions them.
Ask anyone in the street about the causes of depression and according to UCL research 85-90% of the public will answer confidently that depression is caused by low serotonin or a chemical imbalance. Is this true? It might be favourable to the pharmaceutical companies, but the science is far from settled. Ask cats about their favourite supper and 9 out of 10 of them will claim to prefer Whiskers, although how marketeers pierce feline nonchalance to secure that answer deserves a Ted talk.
One of the most dishonest claims is the Nissan Leaf EV. Leaf, intended to evoke burbling brooks and weeping willows, is bad enough, but the real culprit is the Zero Emissions badge. It’s such a lie that the nose of the car should be 10feet long, or at least renamed the Nissan Pinocchio. It’s impossible to manufacture a car without (presumably co2) emissions. Despite the implication that it’s been built by Smurfs from surplus oak trees, an EV has roughly double the production footprint of a typical internal-combustion-engine. The main emission from the Nissan Leaf is such public and unchallenged bullshit.
Another important statistic is the sort Al Gore climbed a ladder beside to demonstrate the acceleration of planet temperatures and how global warming was driven by co2, yet his inconvenient truth is that none of his predictions have come true. He declared global sea levels could rise as much as 20 feet "in the near future”. However, at the current increase it will take approximately 1,136 years for the world's sea level to rise 20 feet, which gives the billionaires plenty of time to evacuate their coastal homes. If that’s his near future then don’t ask him to nip out for some milk.
CO2 is blamed for the increase in global temperatures of about 1.2°C since 1850. This is the year ‘since records began.’ Animal life has been around for 800 million years ago, and the earth in existence for 4.2 billion years longer than that, empty and full of potential, like a hire venue before the wedding. 1850 might be since ‘records began’, but in fact it’s a convenient point from which to measure increasing temperature because it coincides with the warming since the Little Ice Age; a period of cooling from 1300 to 1850 when average global temperatures dropped by as much as 2°C.
Last week it was found that a third of U.K. Met Office temperature stations may be wrong by up to 5°C. Yes, the statistics upon which UK’s embrace of Net Zero is based are as dependable as Red Bull giving you wings. However, unlike the high-octane energy drinks company, you can’t sue the ruling class for lying to you. The Net Zero cult is not to be questioned. It’s the deity with such power that it intends to set an example for other countries to follow; those countries currently sniggering into their new coal power station plans.
Remember when frogs were blamed for droughts and bad spirits were responsible for maladies? How we now laugh at those medieval fools, knowing we could never fall for such idiocy. In 2024 we live at the pinnacle of human development, as our ancestors also thought in their time, where science is now settled and debate no longer required. The eminent scientists who disagree with manmade climate change are dismissed as climate deniers by the authorities backed by their own scientists bloated on self-importance and time in the sun. That they dismiss the names on the World Climate Declaration (stating that there is no climate emergency) such as Nobel prize winner Dr. John Clauser, tells you all you need to know; only inevitable losers refuse to debate ‘settled’ science.
If politics is show-business for ugly people then Covid demonstrated the danger of promoting scientists into celebrity. Patrick Vallance had an eye on his knighthood even while locking people in their homes and preventing families from spending final moments with dying relatives and friends. Follow the science they parroted like the crowd chanting ‘we’re all individuals’ in Monty Python’s Life of Brian. Trust the science they repeat, unless its biological facts proving there are only two sexes.
Following the science completely disregards how the Einsteinian revolution demonstrated settled science simply cannot exist. For two years we had ‘scientists’ saying face masks, designed to keep blood and bodily fluids out of surgeons’ faces, would prevent breathing in tiny flu virus particles. We were told to take an untested gene therapy ‘vaccine’ to make others safe; presumably taking a paracetamol can cure our neighbour’s headache.
It’s hard not to have sympathy for CO2. There it was pottering about as a trace atmospheric gas taking up 0.04% of room and punching well above its weight at relatively historical lows of 420 parts per million (ppm), by feeding plants and enlarging strawberries in poly tunnels, next minute it’s being dragged into the street for public beatings and entire national infrastructures and economies that it supported, torn down.
Like those Whiskers cats, 97% of scientists apparently agree that manmade Co2 is the villain and there is to be be no more discussion. Just as we preemptively and mistakenly culled millions of cattle to prevent foot and mouth disease, we now vilify CO2; much to the amazement of future generations, who will ponder what level of stupidity, self-hatred and evil it required to destroy a civilisation just as so many fell to ash before. With Net Zero we’re allowing our supranational governments to ban television sets because they give you square eyes; they are enforcing a cure for something that does not exist.
Barak Obama may have been the first to publicise the much-repeated rhetoric that 97% of scientists agree that humans are the cause of global warming. This suggests that every scientist in the world was asked, but in fact the 2013 study examined 11,944 climate research papers and found only one-third of them expressed a position on the cause of global warming. That means that 7,930 expressed no position. That’s 66%. It was in fact 97% of the remaining 4, 014 papers (40%) that endorsed the position that humans are the cause, 1% were uncertain, and 2% explicitly rejected the idea. This means that actually less than 40% of scientists in their sample agree that climate change is manmade. Barak Obama tweeted this 97% claim, saying that climate experts believe global warming is ‘real, manmade and dangerous’. In fact the survey never asked that question. It was one of those lies that went around the world before the truth had even tied its shoe laces.
This would be dismissed as conspiracy theory were it not readily available on any internet search. One of the greatest ironies is people calling Trump a fascist while supporting ex-presidents who lie about statistics to justify the Net Zero top-down measures. You get easy virtue badges by supporting the mainstream, ruling class managed narrative, yet any challenge to it and the debate is shut down with ‘you’re a climate denier’. The fake claim of 97% consensus is mere political rhetoric aimed at stifling debate and intimidating people into silence.
Barack Obama’s website even claims that ‘97% of climate scientists agree that climate change is real and man-made … Find the deniers near you - and call them out today.’ This is a man who won a Nobel peace prize for his ‘extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples’. And you still think the system isn’t rotten to the core?
What's extraordinary is how easy it is to uncover what's going on - they don't hide it because no one looks into it, and they have such tight control of the media that anyone who does will be labelled a conspiracy theorist, climate denier, or far right. These are not counter arguments, they are full stops to further discussion.
Science should not advance via consensus, anyway. Those pushing the anti-CO2 campaign changed the paradigm from evidence-based science to group-think science, following the crowd science and being dishonest to have a career science. Now we are disempowered, and those wielding the propaganda baton are more powerful - till the 'climate' legislation is repealed. We have to demand the repeal of all 'climate' legislation.
Here here. Cattle farmers in Oz slaughtered large portions of their herd last year, because the weather bureau forecast a hot and dry summer - amplified by the media into a another dire climate catastrophe. Prices dropped to $650 a head, from $1300 in two weeks. Instead, Oz has had above average rainfall and a very wet summer. Farmers are mightily or rightfully pissed off. Even on the apple weather app, a 30 degree day is cast red with the notation "Extreme heat". More brain washing.
